View Full Version : Legend of Zelda movie
...not.

However, IGN did do an extremely well done April Fools' day joke.
Seriously, watch the "trailer".
If the thing was recast and had better makeup and stuff, I would seriously watch a full movie of that.
Kudos IGN for spending so much money (possibly) on such a pointless endeavor.

Zelda movie would be the sh#t.:woot:
They definitely went out of their way for this gag. One of my friends watched this and became adamantly convinced it was legit. It took some convincing before he broke away from the evil spell IGN has cast over the internet populace.
Man, if they ever do a Zelda movie they had better do it right!!!
I'd 1d myself if they got uwe boll or paul anderson to do it :T

I thought they did a great job as well, they also have a video showing parts of the production.

I think that a zelda movie would break the game forever.

I was so happy to see the Master Sword at the end.
I saw this thread title and got hyped as hell.. damn april fools.
if I think about it though, a movie would most likely ruin zelda.
yeah that's what I'm sayin'.... I mean jeeeeez I personally didn't care for Majora's Mask -- I was afraid things were going to start going downhill from there, but they've done nicely since then.
IF they did a movie, it'd have to be frikkin' awesome

I'm a huge Zelda fan. Ocarina of Time is one of my all-time favorites. That said, I must admit that if a Zelda movie were ever greenlit into production, I would literally slice a wakazashi into my jugular and drench the earth beneath me with a geyser of carmine. I have no faith whatsoever in video game-to-movie adaptations. They all suck colossal goat scrotum. So if anyone were ever to breach upon the ridiculous fucking concept of adapting Zelda to the silver screen, I will seriously fucking lose it.

How many big-hit games actually made it to movie screens?

Not a fan of Silent Hill?
I'm waitin' for the folks of my generation to get out of school, make it big in the movie bizz, and start setting things right with game-to-film adaptations. I believe!!

I watched Dungeons and Dragons and Aeragon...
Both were extremely hideous and could strip a man's soul bare with their foulness.
If I can survive their torture, their bile, their unholiness... I can survive "The Legend of Zelda" the movie. Makes me wish the challenge was there to take.

eragon was based on a book, and a shitty book at that.
VG to Movie productions suck because the big studios aren't willing to hand out a proper budget. If the right person adapted the right game on a medium budget, we'd be set to go. It happened the same with comic book to movie adapts.

yeah that's what i'm saying, i think its gonna be years before we get a quality vg-to-film production because most of the folks who give a crap are still the low men on the totem pole in hollywood :(

I dunno... I was pleased with "Hitman". The plot played out like the game sequence, he even walked like hitman did in the games. It wasn't an epic film or anything, but it was good.
Have you seen the Halo live-action shorts? Those looked pretty damn cool...
Halo is the only film I think can succeed where all others have failed. Mainly because Peter Jackson is attached to produce it. Alas, the film has been set to "indefinite hiatus" due to budget issues.
