RAM issues

My comp keeps randomly crashing any HL2 programs complaining of 'insufficient ram', or 'bad challenge', or just 'unable to blahblah the RAM port' junk. It doesn't make sense, and everything is fine, it still detects the RAM. Is this a problem with HL2 or do I need to replace something in my comp? Help would be appreciated.

if you think you have ram problems, you need to download and use memtest86+

check their forums on how to use the tool. everytime i install new ram in any machine, i run this program for a few hours, or overnight. if there is a problem with your ram, this program will find it.

This might not be much help, but maybe try pulling out the memory sticks and reinserting them. Thats my 2 cents. :mp5:
