damage and friendly fire Qs

yes, i like friendly fire, except that i suck and i kill teammates too easy.
so ive seen a setting(?) that basically mirrors your teamwounding back on yourself. i dont know if it actually hurts your teammates or not.

so when i take damage, i see red for a little while, then i go back to normal.
is there some kind of damage meter, or am i all "healed" when im not seeing red anymore? how does this work in COD4 MP?

When the red goes away you should be back at 100%.

I'm not sure that is true Beer because there is an achievement you can get by shooting opponents that takes their health from them and gives it to you (when you see the red cross). It only seems to happen after I've taken damage first.

The red cross means the target has juggernaut on. It gives you some extra health but nothing really worth wild in my opinion. Lighter guns might take an extra bullet or two. Guns with a heavy punch and stopping power will still kill you with one clean hit. I dont think the shooter leaches health off the targets though.

Oh, another n00b question:
when my bullets are striking the enemy, is there an audible indicator (like a little paper ripping sound?) i hear that sound when i shoot at helicopters, ive heard it when hitting players, but im not sure.

I believe it is the Invincibility Achievement. The Red Cross is Juggernaut which is what I had originally thought and then got corrected to find out that was wrong.
It's an Elite Achievement and it states.....
Get 5 health regenerations from enemy damage in a row, without dying.

So how the hell do you do that?

lol, i got that one done.... it just took a lot of luck for me. It requires a lot of dropping to the ground the second you are shot.

Nope. It makes them slightly harder to kill. Although it's a small difference. I watched some comparison videos and it only took an extra pistol bullet to kill a guy who had it on. That was on normal mode. It's usefullness in Hardcore mode would be even more limited. Like you might survive if you were behind cover from a shot that would normally kill you. It's a little red cross that appears if they have it on. I cant remember where it pops up.. You'll always heal up if you have it on or not. You can just take more damage before you die.

As for the Invincibility Achievement.. From how I understand it.. You have to get messed up but not die 5 times. So you take some damage, heal up and repeat. I'd imagine it's pretty hard to get since it's so easy to die.

Could be wrong on that, but I'm pretty confident in my answer. If you're going for it Coran, good luck sir. Also, let us know how you did get it when you do. :thumbsup:

Self explanatory there bud, its already been said, just recover 5 times in a row from damage.

The real tricky one is flawless, turns out you need to not die the whole round AND get 15 kills. That isnt stated in the description and man was that tough to get.

As for juggernaut, it "doubles" your health. However, it really means nothing in hardcore. In a regular mode, combine that with steady aim and a shotgun and you have a crazy killing machine.
