Man, we sure had some good matches on the Custom Map server tonight. Good game guys.
The twilight map rocks
Do you have to go to the website to downlaod the map? Or can you let it download when it's loading the server?

I had a lot of fun on the custom server too. Well, at least until my dog got sick and I had to tend to him...
The custom maps really make me hope for some official remakes. While the change of pace is awesome, every one of those maps seemed to lack the quality that's in the official maps. Still, I'll be back on the custom server as soon as I get a chance to play again.
And yes, the maps will download automatically, but it takes some time.

You can let them download them when it's loading the server, but keep in mind these files are huge and we have limited bandwidth we have to pay for. If you can grab the PAF map pack from filefront, (http://www.warishellgaming.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=343) you'll be helping us out immensly.
Um, aight.. I'm kinda new to this so bear with me...
I downloaded the DeadCity map.. And put it in the maps folder for CS Source.. Is that right?.. or do I have to put it somewhere else or do something completely different?

It depends on the how the map package is made. Some are made so that you unzip it into the cstrike/maps directory. Some are made to be unzipped into the cstrike/ directory. And others packages are .exe where you run it and point it to your cstrike/ dir. It's hard to say for sure how a particular package might behave, but that's what we've seen so far.
But basically, put the .bsp, .nav, .txt, .res, .ain in your cstrike/maps dir. Put anything related to materials into the cstrike/materials dir and likewise for sounds.
Btw, deadcity is out of rotation. It is causing our server to crash for some reason.
