Hey. Well, todayI went and bought some more ram, and then realized when I got home that is was the wrong stuff for my comp. (I know, I feel like a noob) So anyways, after that, I tried to put my old ram back in, and I booted up te comp, and after about 3 seconds, I'd get this continuous beep. I know I've heard about this and what it means before, but I can't remember right now what it means or how to fix it. Please help.

Make sure you put it back in the same slots...

Example:

If you have 4 slots, and only 2 dimms make sure they go back in slot 1 or (A) and Slot 3 or (C).

The one closest to the CPU should be 1 and skip one and put one in the next one.

But if you have 4 and 4 slots, make sure their all matched pairs.

Also, make sure that all the white tabs are fully locked up, which would mean that all the ram is securely seated in the socket

Any progress?

If it's a continuous scream, make sure you didn't accidentally unplug the extra power from your video card (if it requires it.)

Yea, I took it to the tecdh shop near me and they fixed it. Idk what he did diferently then me, because all it was is the ram wasn't seated properly. I could have knocked him out when he said that, because I had just tried re-seating them for the last 5 hours, and he comes up and pops them in and they work! I don't get it. Oh well, atleast now it's fixed. lol
