Wow, I am going to get my name changed to Thread HiJacker, SO I am making a new thread to follow the NHL, until they come BACK, those bastards, I am a life long Rangers Fan!!! and miss the game terribly, I also havent played in a year(work, family, school)

my number 22 comes from my favorite player, Mike Gardner!!!

My step son has become a huge fan as well(Bruins though  )

Anyway, I think when the NHL comes back, it will not be the same for a while, hopefully better... but I think a few teams will dissappear, I mean how long can they go with out the revenue? Ticket sales? etc, I personally feel the players are out of line, they need to step back and think about what is happening, now I am no expert on this, and really stopped following it when the season was cancelled, anger really... err... I am at a loss of words here, but I never realized there were so many hockey fans here...

oh yeah: as for playing, my favorite position for Ice is center, and for roller hockey I love to play Right Wing :hehehe: boy I miss those days and tourny play... and we had this crappy goalie, named DRAYU :D Just kidding, he actually was pretty good, till he got P whipped :hehehe:

Yeah, considering they are some of the highest paid atheletes in the world it's rediculous. Kinda sad when the median pay for the Dallas Stars is something like $2.6 million, and the Dallas Cowboys is only $626k. They're starting to get as bad as the NBA and baseball players. Don't get me wrong I think they are more deserving of that kind of pay than basketball and baseball players (hell you try being a 200+ lb. guy trying to skate gracefully on ice, and hit a small puck with other players are trying to do the same thing, or slam into you). It's still a bit excessive though.

They need to come to an agreement or people will lose interest. I won't, but many major US states don't really give a shit about hockey in the first place
:p
Now with people forgetting about it, Hockey won't make a comeback in a lot of places

I say the players need to fire Goodnow, he totally screwed their side over by holding out too long. I wouldn't mind seeing Bettman go as well as hes done nothing but harm. Problem is players want larger salaries but the NHL doesn't have the huge media deals the NFL and NBA do.

If people actually got to watch a game of hockey then they would be more interested. Lots of you don't know what you are missing out.
