I have done a ton of research on WW1 and if I don't know the answer I know where to look to get it. My grandfather fought at Gallipoli and was with Allenby's forces when Jerusalem was captured. He told my mom that he had meet with Lawrence of Arabia's men and the standard forces didn't see them until after the fall of Jerusalem. My mom has a couple books that my grandfather had that was written by the men that fought in the Great War.

Your reseach is outstanding, I know that my family has fought with and for this nation since 1774 when we came over from Germany. We have some memorabilia, but no written wrecords. Sorry for my bad spelling this morning... You need to tresure those documents for your family generations to come.

I have had a hard time tracking his movements and can only base what I have found out on what he told my mom and the Campaign medals we have. The more I question her the more I find out to research. I have yet to contact New Zealand archives for actual documents because they want money I don't yet have. It's taken me 3 yrs just to find out the little I have and it is only general info. Specifics would be so nice.
