why should i get it?
truthfully, i'm having a blast in tf2. tfc was the first fps i've ever played, and i was getting sick of pseudorealistic fps games like css and bf2 anyhow. mind you, i still love insurgency. what makes cod4 any different? i pretty much ignore the single player campaign. i typically buy games just for multiplayer =P
kaos tells me to take your opinions with a grain of salt because you ppl like bf2 :bolt:

1. singleplayer is phenomenal looking and great game play
2. multiplay is phenomenal looking, plenty o weapons, overzealous ranking system with customizable kit loadouts and ability/skill choices, ....and last but not least...it will get your heart pumping.
edit-->im not saying you should get it, im saying those are reasons to get it. ive enjoyed it.

there is a mode in cod that reminds me very much of counter-strike and has become the sole reason as to why I play the game. I play it on ps3 though. I would get it for pc, but Ive already become sort of a legend on the ps3 version.

I like it for the single player... the MP, not so much.

I am a big fan of only buying games for the MP part. This is probably the first game I finished all the way to the end... no exaggeration either. So I know where you are coming from.
The SP is awesome. period.
The MP is better with good friends, and practice. @ Filthy which means you have to play more with us :)

diddo
plus evrytime i start up MP is says my PB is not intsalled or some BS like that
so i've never actually played it
but i can ussaly tell when i won't like soemthing
Why should we sell you on CoD 4? Sell us on why we should care if you get it.
In all seriousness though. Single player is fun, never played multi-player.

If seeing 19 people in the CoD4 TS channel doesnt convince you then I dunno what will.
I would get it for pc, but Ive already become sort of a legend on the ps3 version.
That could be taken in two ways. You could be legendarily bad at the game Prowler. :hehehe: It is a damn shame I cant introduce you to my Uber Nazi Gun. I can understand you going to another system to hide from it.
PoPjay - If you want to judge the game before you've played it.. Alright.. Otherwise I'd do a manual PB update.
Frankly I'll call it the 2007 multiplayer game of the year. Runs better then BF2 or TF2 (I get almost 2x the frame rate and it loads a hell of a lot faster). Looks better then both.

i'm gonna borrow a friend's copy to see if it'll run tolerably. the demo did not run as well as i'd hoped.

i wanna buy it too, just for that =P
it's just a bit more system intensive than i'd hope for, though. i'll buy it, but i'm gonna have to buy a laptop cooler first.

The only real selling point I have is that everyone else is playing it and we love it, so join the masses.

Plus you rank up really fast. There are a bunch of "challenges" to complete. For example, one of the challenges is "Date a hottie". When you pass, you get awarded a 400W Pulse Plasma Rifle. I failed that one miserably...
Oops wrong game. :D :)
