I don't know, how about Legoboy80 Dinky? I think you and him had a good.... repore' going there... though I'm amazed you didn't jump through the mic and strangle him at times... Actually 90% of the time... Woulda been funny to see Jeff in the same squad as him.

Edit: Correction woulda been funny to see drunk jeff in the same squad as him.

That's tight man. Personally, I'd like to throw together a Guerilla's team, I already began creating that team a while back. Still gotta get used to being a squad leader. But sheesh, as infantry I tear it up. Half the time I die, I could still make it if there was a med with me, and at other times, I run out of ammo, so a support gunner would rock.

In another server (wih was down :() somehow we managed to have a decent infantry squad of guerilla fighters. 2 tank busters, 1 med, a support gunner, and me (assault). It was some map in a city with a lot of bridges to cross (which ended up turning into stalemate gun fights.) But! with decent armor support (who rushed the bridge) we tagged behind for protection. When we were close to the other side, I popped a smoke, and rushed left hard. Tank was destroyed, but we ended up taking on 2 or 3 other squads for the capture :D

'Twas glorious.

I really haven't had too much difficulty assembling cohesive team-oriented squads, but I think that's because this is such a team-based game, most people who decide to pick it up WANT to work as a team. It just seems that way to me.

I like it because there's a LOT more combat variables to consider ALL the time. It's not like Counter-Strike where I can learn simple firing angles, timing, and become a one-man army. It's a lot more realistic in this way. I <3 it. Just need a joystick so I can try to fly :(

Heh...hehe..hehehe I don't know Saur I haven't had too much trouble getting team cohesion going in the squads I'm in, but 99% of the time it seems like we're the only squad doing anything on the team whether we win or lose. When we win it seems like the only reason was because we went and flanked the enemy by taking flags behind and forcing them to divide their forces. When we lose it seems like the reason was because we were the ONLY sqd going out and taking flags (sans last night when we were capping flags, got tied up on the island trying to get and hold 2 flags while the entire rest of the USMC team couldn't take a flag, much less hold it to save their lives).

When Im squad leader ( which i hate) but I'll form one if it seems like chaos. I just try and hit the "caps lock" button everytime the squad caps a flag. It may not be the right orders, but its orders nonetheless. Ive been in squads where the leader never issues orders to his squaddies and I feel left in the dark. Also, Ill tell the commander to go "eat it" sometimes. I understand commanders ( dont want that job) tend to throw all the orders to the squad that has 6 guys in it, but if im rolling up on a flag ive already designated as a target for my squad were going to take that flag first. Unless I have UAV confirmation or verbal orders nothings going to change that.

There was a commander yesterday verbally calling on squads to attack certain targets. I have no idea who that was but it was the best commander ive seen yet. We won two maps in a row, and he rarely had to designate on the map what he wanted us to do. I know my squad mates couldnt hear him, but it was kind of like when I talk to my squad. I dont talk a lot on the mike but I give very specific instructions, it was nice to hear that from an even higher level up the foodchain.

Im beggining to get an inkling of why =HR= was taking its time in the demo. Moving on foot and such and figuring our what they wanted to do for classes in a squad. The last two days I've tried to organize a lot of armor columns with a tank or two in front and APC's following. What Ive learned is:

You stop for a lot of repairs.

You need at least 3 engineers in your squad to keep the constant repairs going and you make a nice juicy target for attack choppers. If your going to do anything armored you need to do it together so everyone is watching everyones back. Ive heard the same said from the foot squads, and the air squads. Kossori was talking about trailing another pilot the other day while the first one baited him. And I think they did that lal night.
