Technically my CPU is below the min specs and it runs fine for me. I have an x850 and that card has no trouble with it at all.

My brother has a AMD 2600 XP and it runs well on his rig.

I'd suggest trying out the demo and seeing how it runs.

Hold up. My PC is below minimum requirements and I run it just fine. I have a 2.0 Ghz Processor, a Radeon 9550, and 512 RAM and it runs fine.

I have a crappy vid card 6150se & it runs well enough for me to kill a few & die alot so it may run on

the reason im asking is i picked up airborn and it didnt work on my comp at all,
so i just wanna make sure so i dont waste $50 again.

If it makes you feel better, LordBeer does just fine, but I kick Jimmy's ass.

Then again, I'm running everything full-on with a core2duo e6600 and an 8800GT.

Honestly, I think you'd do fine with your settings not on super-ultra high...

The game loads waaaaaaaaay faster than BF2, and is far superior in the detail department. No flying or driving or walking 20 minutes across the map, just firefights.

Buy it now, and then upgrade ;)

okay i dl and installed the demo but im getting this iw3sp.exe error after the start up screen any one know how to fix this?

iw3sp.exe is the program for the game. Make sure it has access to the internet.

Oh wait, I was having that screwy error. There is some file in the sound directory that needs to be renamed. I forget which one though. I'll double check and edit/repost.

**Here it is. This fix worked for me and my brother. Hope it works for you. Also, I guess the game doesnt like Xfire much. I'd recommend turning it off while playing.

Locate the file: "mssmp3.asi"

Rename it: "mssmp3.bak"

lordbeer thx it fixed the prob for me. so ya it works fine on my comp so im out the door now to go pick up a copy and i guess ill see you guys on the server in a couple hours or so
