Okay, which way do I go, Core 2 duo E6750 or Core 2 Quad Q6600 (Kentsfield)?

Talk to me, lets keep it on topic also please.

Well, if price isn't an issue, go for the quad...

They both have 5 eggs out of 5 on NewEgg, but the quad has more reviews (800 for the Quad vs. 421 for the Duo)

I don't think the extra two cores will do much for you currently, but you'd be looking at having something that will last you a while.

Hope that helps!

is the $100 price difference worth it I suppose is my question.

Quad is workin for the future.. only one game as of know actually is "suppose" to take full advantage of quad cores.. Crysis

but with knowing how processors get faster i would say if you didnt mind get the Dual and wait for more games or faster quad core to come out

also here is a line up of Intel's new processors

and in my opinion i would wait for the beginning of the year and get the E8500 or Q9300

Thanks man! I think I am going to go with a E6750 right now for sub $200 and wait till I can up to a quad.
