That would be crazy. Im going to be a senior this year so im almost out.

Yeah, Ruby Falls is so commercialized its not even funny. Kind of sad. Its a "man made waterfall with christmas lights" as a friend put it from downtown.

I dont know how often your in but im downtown hanging out at Coolige a lot. Who knows, maybe youve seen me at Winn Dixie or something.

Only 1200 miles..................

Who gets sick of driving up I-75 and seeing this stupid emblem the whole fecking way every half mile. I swear the signs start in Canada in one direction and Miami the other. When you actually get to this piece of shit of a tourist destination you are rewarded with:

This Ass- clown. This is Tennessee's version of a bad knock-off icon. I guess its to reward the kids for pestering dad for the last 1000 miles to stop in this shithole. Thats not me in the picture btw. ( im in the suit)[/quote]

Well, Dalton DOES have a better scene.

Lemme tell you kids a lil story.

So im walking down the road to the 58 mart to get a coke, and a truck drives by. Its the biggest POS ive ever seen, rusty, falling apart, sounds like a clothes washer full of nuts and bolts. Where the bed door(thing that opens in the back, I forgot what its called) is supposed to be, theres a square of plywood, and on that plywood, theres FORD spray painted on it.

Kids with mohawks are an extinct +1 species in Birchwood. Being 6'10 doesnt help with that at all though.

there are more then 10 trucks with the beds removed and replaced with homemade ones, not because they want to protect the original ones, because the original ones are rusted and sitting in the persons back yard.

there are 3 houses within a 15 minute walking distance(about 3 - 4 miles) that have either a pile of tires OR a bunch of busted rusted cars in the back yard.

I think your just secretly trying to get Ruby Falls included in the "jeff's no one left behind thread."

If thats not the case then you need to take a prozac because there is nothing wrong with Chatanooga, TN.

Im not particular fond of where I grew up which Is why I joined the Navy when I was 17 and then ended up eventually here in Tampa. Can you imagine Jeff shouting from the top of his lungs how great it is to grow up in Dayton, OH?

We ARE a big city. Yahh Dayton!

So you see, I was just telling you like it is. Ruby Falls sucks. Accept your fate. Join me and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son.

Ok my bad I thoght you were putting the whole city down. Sorry I kinda got worked up. I'm defensive of this place because I've lived here so long.
Oh and I agree theres not a bigger waste of money in the south than Rock City, but we just added on to the aquarium and are in the process of building up the riverfront (waste of tax money) it was ok the way it was.

You are both in heaven compared to Nowata, Ok.

Courthouse is nicest (and biggest) building in town.

Pshhhh. Budweisers.......Hmm......Urine water? I think that will suffice.

Be a man, pick up a can of PBR. THEY DRANK IT ON MASH! COME ON!

I dont think the waterfront is really that much of a waste. It will probably appeal to big business and large corporations. Hey, the volunteer site just up the road is getting an automobile plant built.

Hurrah for blue collar jobs!

Have you had a chance to go to the new aquarium? Ive walked around it a lot but havent been inside.
