Dammit, spoke too soon

Dammit, I guess I spoke too soon on the wellbeing of my newborn nephew. Because of complications during the birth he was basically stillborn but the doctors were able to revive him after 25 minutes. They were going to life flight him from Laramie down to Denver and before the helicopter got there he was responding well to everything, and it looked like he wasn't going to suffer any long term effects from it. But before the copter got to the hospital he took a turn for the worse and it looks like he has suffered some massive brain damage. The life flight team at first were not going to take him but they decided to in the end. Right now it looks like he won't survive the weekend. So right now I get to start making preparations for the drive down to Laramie or Denver. Not looking forward to this 12 hour drive.

I'm so sorry to hear Wibby. I know what it's like to go thru something like this. It is heart-breaking to see an infant hooked up to all the machines and fighting for their life. I will keep your nephew and family in my thoughts.

Ok first off, thanks to everyone for there thoughts and prayers, they really helped.

Second off, my nephew survived and amazingly enough he is being discharged next Tuesday or Wednesday and I just got word earlier this morning that the doctor is almost 100% sure that he won't suffer any disabilities or problems later on in life. Which is just amazing considering that he was dead for 25 minutes when he was born. The doctors only gave him a 5% chance of living and that was to just be a vegetable. I still can't really believe it.
