I put my car for sale on cragislist and this guy emails me about a trade for this laptop. Here is the link to my car to see what he wants to trade for his comp.

Is it worth it for me to do this. I think it is but I would like more input.

I wouldn't take it. That laptop isn't worth $1k in my opinion. And if you're interested in gaming on a laptop, that definately isn't a laptop to look at. Then again if you want a basic laptop without hiaving the hassel of looking for one on ebay or whatever, then it might not be a bad deal.

Would you rather have 1,000 dollars or the Laptop? You can always get the 1,000 dollars and build a better PC than that for the same amount of money. At newegg, fully priced, it's 900 for a 3.2 GHz, 1 gig ram, and etc.

However, since it's not for gaming, you could always look at getting the 1,000 and just buying a brand new laptop..

The point isnt that I can get a better laptop for the money. The point is that I dont know if I can get $1000 for my car and is it worth it to just take this now instead of waisting time to try and find a buyer for my car. I know it wont game well but that is why I have a desktop. That laptop would be for homework and Church tech stuff.

all i can give u is my little story about a car i sold for 500 bucks. I had a 95 neon....it had well over 100k miles and a blown head gasket (ie didnt run) had the sign up for less than a week and was able to sell it. I would say that since yours still runs 1k isnt asking too much but i dont know about your buyers there.

not knowing the model number, i believe this same laptop is selling used on ebay for $485 - 600. is your car that overpriced?

if you cant get the trade off of your mind, then do it. or, if you want more for your sale, then hold out for the cash, negotiate with serious buyers, and get yourself a better laptop than that one.
