I'd like to remind everyone that the TS channels are for game related communications. It is not there as a complain forum about games, life, spouse, etc... Please use the forums here to voice your opinions.

I hate to agree but I think that teamspeak should only be used for game chatter. I like talking to people on it but its hard to concentrate on the game when you are having conversations about other random things. In Counter Strike no one even goes into the channel for terrorist or counter terrorist (me included), we all just go under counter strike and then you really cant communicate about where the bomb is going or anything. Should we start logging into the channel that corresponds with our team?

Yeah. You guys should go into the proper channels for strategic talk. If I hear stuff in the open channel, I will use it for my advantage.

We also have other channels that you can use for non-gaming talk.

Just a quick question since were all talking about teamspeak here, I cant seem to login. I put in the IP and the lady voice is telling me "error" with no response to the server. Anyone know what i might be doing wrong?

Check to see that you're not using the wrong version of TS. There's an RC1 and an RC2. May also be your firewall, if you have one.

i had that same problem and im not sure how i fixed it. the only thing i know i did differently when it did work than when it didnt was instead if copy/pasting the ip, i typed it in. hope that helps. it was really frustrating for a good couple of days though :wallbash:

Deft, make sure you enter in the correct IP. Then you must have the settings correct. Name the Server anything you want but you can only enter a nick name (Deft, probably). Then click the "registered" button. Leave all the other fields alone. That might be it or maybe not.
