Autobalance

On War is Hell Demo (aka War is Hell #1), I've modded the code (hacked according to EA) so that commanders and squad leaders will not autobalanced to the other side.

has anyone else had the same problem i've been having?
the scenerio is im squad leader with 5 minions, things are going fine then all of the sudden i see that none of my squad members are spawning anywhere then i realize im in a squad of my own. im not on the other team, it just auto created a squad and put me in it by my lonesome. maybe im hitting the wrong button, but it happens way too much for me not to realize im hitting the create squad/custom squad button and anyways do you not have to leave your squad before creating another or does that just go for joining an already made squad....anyways it's quite frustrating.

Yup. Same thing happened to me last nite. I was talking talking talking. No one's responding. I looked and I'm in a squad by myself. So I'm like WTF you guys mutiny on me? :)

There is more code taht I can add in to NOT switch a player in a squad. Which means it'll only switch the stragglers.

do that please. I hate finally getting in a good squad and then the next respawn being on the other team.

I get switched so many times from squad play, and honestly it sort of ruins the game for me. Sometimes I'll log off, while other times I just pick up a sniper rifle and go solo. Definitly on of the most frustrating features of this game.

Do you know whether the retail version will give us more control for this without having to hack the code?

The Insert Key does this. I used to have insert as my TS button, but since then i have had to change it... I'm not saying this iss the only key that does it, but it does...

I'll have to take a look at the code. But I beleive it is the same as there is no mention of any parameters that will do this. However, Brandon at BF2CC said that he'll have some functions that will prevent this for us.

The Insert Key does this.
what a ridiculous button. i mean if you try to create a squad while in one using the home menu it WONT let you, why would a button no one uses be different, stupid stupid key configuration. and it's so close to home which i use when im squad leader, how frustrating :wallbash:

I use the caps lock for all my squad/commander needs.
