Here's what you do Saur.

Get you a good rifle. Spawn at the west beachhead.

Wait until you see an APC rumbling up the beach. That would be me.

Then run as fast as you can across the dunes towards the center beachhead, see?

When I get close to you, just hit the "Z" button and go prone.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

The control is mapped fine, but it won't work. Any ideas?

Boom! Well, sittin' here readin' the forums 'n chopping on mah chicken salad, I figured I'd give a status report on my progress with BF2 thus far.

Frikkin' A man! The game's hardcore :D I <3 it like a fat boi <3's nubcaek.

I especially love the squad divisions, which is something I remember thinking about a long time ago when I played on that huge WDF custom cs:s server. I was thinkin' "man, if they only had some sort of team division stuff, we could organize bla bla so much easier." And lo 'n behold, BF2 provides :D

First day was devoted to learning the map and watching player positions. Got used to some of the weapon handling. I think I've found my place among the hallowed halls of the Tank Busters. I noticed that tanks tend to kill a lot of people on my team, so if I kill the tank, I'm good to go. Every now and then, Phenix gets brave and flies low in his chopper, so I'll send'em a present too.

Same with the rifles, once I found out how my rifles were switching from 1 shot to 3 shot to full auto at seemingly random times, I was good to go. I've stormed bases solo and defended them against tanks, apcs, and multiple squads single handedly until I ran out of ammo or got caught switching Kits.

Lately, I've been experimenting with the different types of vehicles. Tank, apc, and the jeep are simple enough, reminiscent of the boat 'n jeep from hl2. It's the choppers and planes I have trouble with.

First harrier I took out had IceRune gunning for me for "taking" his plane, and I promptly smashed into the ocean. I and do multiple barrel rolls with the chopper, if that tells you anything.

Runnin' with Krunkert early on taught me how to use the parachute :D So all's good.

Just gotta learn that darn aircraft :T
