Not entirely certain how, but it appears my Gmail account has been overtaken. Logged in today and noticed a number of failure-to-send messages in my spam box.

Questions are as follows:
Could they be crafted to appear as failed-sent messages?
Is there a widespread breach of Google's mail system?
Anyone else notice suspicious activity of this sort with their Gmail accounts?

Running an AV/AS scan right now, hopefully it will turn up blank.

I run Gmail Notifier to update me when I have new mail. This beta software could be an avenue of attack. Anyone else use this or Gmail Chat as a mail notifier?

I'm not having any trouble with gmail, but I don't use any of the widgets.

it does sound like a spoof address someone is using, so the replies go to your account, not the origionator, you may be able to go to read the headers to see where the mail was sent from, there usually is the full path the message took.
