I am going to be overhauling my 939 system and tranfering a majority of it into an AM2 system. But obviously i need some upgrades first. Please let me know what you think of this stuff and suggest anything as far as mobo, cpu, and ram goes.

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe

Athlon64 X2 6000+

And eventually a second one of these guys:

Anyway, regarding the mobo, would that run in SLI x16 mode or x8? It didnt really say.

i think it runs SLI at 16x x2.

and i would run a 5600+ cause it will over clock better than the 6000+ using less power.

Nice case, I like the antec 900 for the HUGE 200mm fan on top, moves lots of air, and if you are thinking sli 8800's, you may need some great air movement!

On a side note, I would make sure that your big ass card will fit in a mid tower! check to see what people are saying before you press buy!

why go sli these days? unless you got lots of money, and can buy 2 8800 ultras I dont see the point.

the new Nvidia G90 chips are coming out in november this year.

why wouldnt you go intel? its the best now, maybe get an quad core 6600

you make some good points, im definitely not going sli yet, i am just going to to stick with my 88, and if the g90's impress me, i might just bump up to that.

I am going amd because for the time being it is cheaper, and I will also am excited to upgrade to phenom when that is released.

I have that same mobo and have no complaints with it, other than that I havent used any of the other components.
