Well it would appear that I'm moving to Sweden in the next week or so... anyone from WiH live there? My boyfriend has a job in Stockholm.

I had a friend that came from Sweden and then he moved back there a few years back. We haven't kept in touch though.
Good luck with the move Kimmy and best wishes!

Holy Shit! Chuyskywalker got a job with DICE??? Sweet!
I wish you and Jeff the best of luck in the move and in his new dream job at DICE. I may not frequent the BF2S.com forums as much as I did in the beginning but you know I'll always be here so keep in touch! Keep me in mind for BF3 and the Beta  ;)

What do you want to know about Sweden or Stockholm my bother in-law has lived in Stockholm for years. You may not know this but certain places in Stockholm you have to pay to drive into. I have been to Sweden a lot just let me know if you have any specific questions and I can get them answered for you.

Hey thanks guys!
@ slacker_fse, I'll definitely come around with some questions for you. I hear Sweden is pretty expensive... I'm on hold with Dell personal services right now but I'll come back later when I can think up some reasonable questions

Thanks again for the replies...
Does anyone know when the weather in Sweden is due to make that dramatic shift to freaking cold? I need to buy a warm coat and don't know whether or not to buy it now or later..... the question is how much later, lol

Kimmy how cold is cold for you? Stockholm gets cold but not that bad not usually not less then 20 degrees F. It would be smarter to buy a coat here then wait until you get to Sweden. I thought it was expensive when it was 10 krona to a dollar but now its only 7 krona to a dollar. For what time of year it’s about the same as the mid west or north east for weather changes.
Enjoy Sweden.
Don’t worry anyone below 50 should speak English. Learn how to say I don’t speak Swedish, do you speak English if they didn't speak English to you before they will now.
You can take a ferry to Helsinki, Finland or Tallinn, Estonia it’s a fun little trip and doesn't really cost that much.

I'm from California so anything below 60 feels cold, lol. I've gone through winters in Wisconsin and Minnesota before though, so I can manage just fine in cold weather. If I get a chance to find warmer clothes today I will go ahead and make a purchase, but our flight is early tomorrow, and time is running out!
Glad to know the majority speaks English -- definitely a relief. My trip to Poland was more difficult earlier in the year because I had to work with people who didn't speak any English at all.
I'm excited for tomorrow. I'll write again from Stockholm!
Thanks so much for the info :)

These connections are mind boggling... Your BF is Jeff Minard (chuyskywalker), he now works for DICE, and you get to live in Sweden... Guess it is too late to take me with you, haha :bolt:

haha... yes... we've walked by the DICE office a few times now. He starts work tomorrow.
We also found an apartment and move in sometime this week once we pay IKEA a visit :)
Stockholm is lovely btw!

DICE and EA are on the top floors of the modern looking glass building near the center of the picture... we're currently at a hotel down the street... DICE is paying for everything right now -- airfare, hotel, taxi... and whatever else we can... *cough* think of asking them for

Hmmm interesting. A convenient climbable structure right next to the building in which a positioned Sniper could take out specific EA executives. Now I just need some transport to get there.
