Mobile Cavalry

Early last night I was in BF2 flying the Blackhawk with some TS and some non TS people. I flew for 3 rounds and every time our squad was #1. Those black hawk gunners really rack up the kills, but what I really wanted was a squad that would act like Mobile Cavalry. Get in the in helo, bail over flags, and then get back in helo. Problem was that no one wanted to get out. Gunners never wanted to loose seat and other people waited in helo till gunners moved and took their seats. I really wanna try this again but with some good players that like to cap flags and wanna try that style of play. I think this will only be accomplished with TS regulars. Soooooo I’m hoping tonight I can get a group together for this. If this sounds interesting to you let me know and we can try it again, if no one is interested I will just go back to ground pounding. :ak:

I as well tried this with they SYN clan that was in our server, actually worked well, I gunned the first time, we landed by the flag, capped it, while pilot hovered off shore, then he picked us up. lets have a go at it tonite...

I can really get that black hawk right where I want it, it is pretty sluggish, like flying a tank, but like flying a tank, it can take a beating.

How good are anti-tank weapons vs. blackhawks. And a Jeff side note to this. I have no experience in the choppers yet. Not gunning, not flying, not co-piloting, not riding. It seems the two or three times i got in one the person crashed it.

Can someone please write a guide to choppers, kind of like the other guides on here? For the laymen who has no experience.

AT takes about half to a quater off them, takes about 2 - 3 to kill, but your not going to be able to get a second or third shot off because most pilots either a. move away from the location and repair b. use their gunners to turn you into goop.

and on a side note, I took out my first pilot today, the BH dropped like a rock after I did. SO FREAKIN FUNNY TO WATCH!!!! Shot him right through the door with my sniper rifle. I was subsequently called a hacker :D

I didn't have a lot of sucess last night, not alot of people were on that wanted to try, and when people did get on, we were all MEC... Try again this weekend.

Yea, I did this the other afternoon, it was the flag next to the empty pool over by that bld that has the 3/4 filled pool, I was on the hill, the min gun guys didn't know where I was and it took me 4 shots kill that pilot, lol he just hovered there as I shot him, must had wanted the flag real bad, everyone died in the crash :yaya:

On a side note, driving a btr into that half filled pool tickes off the abrams tank chasing you as he can't depress far enough to shoot you, but you can elavate and blast him with your missles and main cannon :jester:
