Most of you don't know this, I'm sure, but I'm a huuuuge Batman fan. He appeals to me on a lot of levels, and I won't take the time here to go into them all.

That said, I saw Batman Begins and I loved it. I didn't like the "choppy cam" fights, but other than that, wow!

They did a really intelligent job of adapting characters from the Batman universe (primarily Year One) and putting them in a modern setting. They did change a feeew things- for example, they never touch on the fact that in the comics, Ra's Al Ghul is immortal. But it wasn't needed in the movie.

The action was over the top but somehow believeable, probably because the characters were so much better built up. Christian Bale pulls off an incredible Bruce Wayne/Batman. My only problem was that he is so athletic, it was a waste of his talent to make the fights "choppy cam".

My wife, who is not a huge Batman fan, also liked it a ton. It really fleshed out all the stuff I'm always yammering about.

Some fans will be turned off by the changes- but I really think they have been very minor changes, and I think they helped. In my opinion this is easily worth your $7-$8!

Marcus fo Realius and Father Goose would get along great. I remember growing up Ryan, Batman was the first real comic book character you ever started seriously drawing, wasnt it? You were drawing him at liek age 8. I remember I'd come into your room:

Jeff: "hey what you drawing there?"

Marcus: "Well what Im depicting here is--------------"

Then I'd quickly grab this off his desk:

(yes thats a David Hasselhoff action figure)

And i'd throw out his window.

Marcus: "NOooooooooooooooooooooo!"
