This just a little guide for Medics bought to you by, Vryllyn, the crazy medic.

If you are going to be a medic, here are some simple rules you need to follow.

1. Try to get into a squad. Always be with your squadmates and help them. Remember you have Med kits and the shock pads.

2. Vehicles can be your friend. If you are in a vehicle, you can heal everyone around it.

3. Choose to be a passive medic or a straight out combat medic. A passive medic will wait for the firefights to end to heal and revive, while a combat medic will run into the combat, revive and get the hell out of there. You'll take a bullet, but you can always heal yourself.

4. It can be a hell of a job, but you won't get a lot of Thank you. Sometimes you'll end up reviving the same person multiple times within a few seconds. Many people think you are nuts, but hey someone has to keep your troops health.

5. Don't be afraid to be on the front line or to fire back. You have a gun for a reason. People don't go, "Hey, it's a medic. I won't fire on him."

6. For the love of god, you have shock pads... Use them. I'm sick of being surrounded by medics and left click to say, "I need a medic." and not a single medic will make an attempt to revive you. You're job is to keep people alive and to minimize the ticket loss.

I'll add more as I think of it.

How do you use the Medic shock pads effectively? I found that out of 5 people I try to revive, only 2 works. On the 3 that failed, another medic comes up and was able to revive them.

Do you have to shock them at a certain body location? How close to them do you have to get to shock them?

first of all... either lay down or crouch when you shock them... rather then standing... that little bit of distance used to mess me up a lot I think...

also, in a fight...watch what people die from... if they get hit by a tank shell or a bomb from a plane...you proably won't be able to save them... however, if they just took some pistol rounds or a couple bullets... it is more likely that you can bring them back.

Time also plays a part...the sooner you get to them, the more likely it is that you will be able to revive them.

You need to be pretty close. I normally kneel to revive. Once in a while, I'm too far away and screw it up. But, I'm revive looking at the leg, chest, arm, head, etc. You just need the medic sign over the body and to be right up on the body.

But you can't revive people who have been "killed". Only "seriously wounded."

I have found you don't always need to be right over them. If they're on a hill I can usually crouch some distance down (so I don't get pinged in the head) and revive them.

I've also found that sometimes it takes more than a few shocks with the paddles to revive someone (just like it does in real life). I think of it as the severity of the wounds requiring more shocking. Sometimes I shock them 4-5 times before they get up. Other times, I still don't get them (and I know they weren't dead, because a death makes the body disappear almost immediately) even though I've done it. I just think of that as too wounded to bring back from the brink.

i think you can save ppl that are "killed", u just need to shock them many times, but i'm not too sure if thats for certain or not

I generally try to line my shock pads up with their chest. Seems to work well.

I don't think so...when they Die... their body diappears... even if they have like a 10 sec spawn yet... the body will dissapear
