Check out how SEALs withdraw from an area. It would be bad ass to be able to do this in game. (Note some of the ads are not suitable for kids or are going to be safe for work). http://crazyshit.com/dc.php?type=medias&cid=5910

Thats the doctrine of every recon unit. Not just SEALs.
That was on Discovery a few years ago I think.
Because I tottaly watched it. I think it had an Op on an oil rig at the beggining.

I remember watching it too. But just saw that part and thought that it was just bad ass, and I remember the oil rig part. They went in and frickin destroyed. But yeah I still say I want to do it in game.

Yea I've seen that before too. I don't think that kind of withdrawl would help in a video game (espeically in one that you can respawn in 15 seconds) because people are not worried about dying, like in real life. Because of this they wont be scared to try and run at a squad which is shooting a lot. However, I think the best tactic for squads in this game are immdiate action drills. This happens when a squad comes under attack, the team member immediately perform their roles and overwhelm the enemy that it trying to ambush them. This in turn gives the squad time to flank and "neutralize" the enemy.
For example, as soon as the enemy shoots at a squad, the Saw gunner jumps to the ground an opens up in the enemies general direction, along with another rifle man to his side. Second the assualter lobs a few m203 nades at the ambushing enemy while another soldier pops a smoke off to the side. Then 3 soldiers manuver through the smoke and flank the enemy, while the m203 saw and rifleman covers their advance. THis would all happen in seconds, and would probably overwhelm and confuse a group of enemies. It would also look prety damn cool

It would be really cool to see some actual squad tactics out on the battle field. I guess that will develope in time when everyone has formed their own squads and had time to really practice. Oh well off to the battle field.

Wibby, you and I are a decent squad together. :P
Anyone else who wants to join a squad that pulls a lot of crap and does insane things, but does a damn good job doing it join Shadow One.
When I play that's the squad I create. Naturally I want to be squad leader, and I expect what I say to get done. As I said, Wibby and I have kicked so much ass whenever we play together. Definitely some of my most favorite moments happen when we play.

Hell yeah. Some good times have been had running around in a squad with you Ary. I mean just a little while ago trying to assault the hotel it took us several tries and the help of another two squads but we pulled ahead and got the capture. We need to get some more WIH regulars to join up with us and I think that we could really kick some serious ass. And once the full game gets here and I finally get a mic I think everything will go a lot more smooth. Hell tonight we were pretty organized, it helped having a couple people on mics. So yeah we just need a few more people and everybody to have a mic we could be pulling off some crazy stuff. Well I'm just rambling right now so feel free to ignore me all you want.

Nah, you beat me to the post.
Hotel was definitely awesome. I think we had 20 guys on either side going at it (us as US on attack). Definitely the best infantry battle yet I believe.
Wibby I actually have a mic, but I don't think I know how to use it in game, and maybe it's because I feel awkward yelling into the computer when my girlfriend is around (and her parents for the next two weeks... damn it). Maybe after the parents are gone I'll try using it but tell me the keys. While you're at it, tell me the keys for instant commands (requesting a supply drop/air strike/etc...).

try taking on a 4 man squad at the construction site with an ak-101, while taunting their leader over teamspeak as you gun each one of them down.

At default the commands to call for a medic as a lone troop is Q. Hold it down and use the mouse to choose. As the squad leader you and press T and will be able to call for artillery and supplies as well as orders, and I think that with arty and supplies you can point your mouse at where you want them. But I know that when you bring up the squad map you can request all the stuff from the commander the same way you give orders to your squad (right click I believe, can't really remember). Hope that helps a little.
