i'm a huge fan of this technology, and this is one of the more mundane, yet cool aspects of it.

i did a whole power point presentation on this subject for my physics class just last week.

ibm is working on many projects, one of which will have the ability to store over a terrabyte of info per square inch in this one solid state hard drive they are making.

the army and navy are using nanocarbons for heat dissapation on warships and for super suits for soldiers.

and thats not even the half of it.

correct, then (as far as i know) it really took off in the mid 70's when A.C.Clarke wrote about it in one of his books (don't recall which one).

i'm running on half-synapsis today so i probably shouldn't be talking about any of this stuff.
