I gotta say that with 64 players on, it just rocks!!!

I love seeing a dozen enemies come charging across the sandy beach toward my position. I tell my squad to defend this position. My SAW operator starts rock 'n rolling with his M249. Sand kicks up as the bullets hit around the charging enemies. Enemy bullets whizzing by our heads. My Medic crawls around giving first-aid to the squad and reviving the critcially wounded. I call in artillery and seconds later, all hell breaks loose as shells started falling on top of the attacking force. When it stops, bodies are strewn all over, some floating face-down in the water.

This is Battlefield at its best!!!

I LOVE IT!!!

I agree, the whole squadron feature makes the game in my opinion. I was sitting atop the hotel sniping and was just in awe at all the 6 man teams running around sticking together. Truly Awesome!!!!

My favorite moment was playing MEC and being involved with a charge for the middle beach base. Running around reviving people as the charge continues, just to get to the base and get destroyed by a Bradley.

Still that was a long hard charge with many, many revives.

Somehow playing on a full 64-player server makes it feel like you're truly in a large scale battle. You hear arty shells whistling down, explosions, dirt flying, concussion effects, jets, helicopters, tanks, infantry. I'm addicted to the chaotic atmosphere of the 64-player battle. I don't know how I can play on a 32-player server any more.

While in Dinky's squad, we had an all out battle on the beach between flags. What teamwork!! Some would cover while others moved forward, all the while me and another medic brought up the rear while healing and reviving our other team members. Our squad was consistently number one on the score screen!

I think the teamwork on clan/community servers will be the difference between us and EA's ranked servers. I think EA is wrong in thinking that the best players will come play on EA's server. I think the best players will be playing in community servers where they know their squad mates. They know if they get critically wounded, their medic will revive them instead of continue charging toward that inevitable death. I also think we have the best team players right here in War is Hell community!

This game reminds me of ET(Enemy Territory) and call of duty(both great games) but BF2 adds a twist with the commander and squads, which I think was a great idea, keeps the game organized. Plus, the other games I've stated don't have vehicles or huge maps but it still has the feel of those games..And not that it matters but the graphics look great, looks so real when you're looking down at the ocean...scary..and I have no video lag..like I did in POE.. to the developers on this one http://forums.filefront.com/images/smilies/buttrock.gif

I love the sound effects!!! The Abrams just sounds so mean now!!! Though, when you fire, it is kinda a dull, I like POE more for that, needs bigger explosions!!! :yaya:

I also love the squad setups, I just wish that once you commit to a squad per game you have to stay to the battle is over, or request to be removed.

Can anyone say---NO LAG....

I've had lag, but nothing compared to BFV and POE. I haven't had any freeze frames or 3 frames per sec.

That alone makes the game more appealing.

I won't get on a rant about what I love in the game. Too many things.

My only gripe is not having an enate knowledge of the key commands and being able to kill everyone else on the field.

Keeping one's cool in tight situations is a must in this game. I've been a medic most of the times that I've played. This is just fricken cool. Revive a fellow player. That rocks.

I appreciate WiH making their server a NO TIME LIMIT server. However, I'm not partial to Auto Balance.

I don't think that being the leader of a squad and then being switched is the way this game is meant to be played. I do believe that people should be cognizant of the teams becoming skewed and then switch at an appropriate time. I don't mind leaving my squad, if I let them know what's happening.

This is funny because of what happened to me:

I was the leader of a squad, when all of a sudden, I couldn't find my squad members. I knew that they should be spawning next to me when they died----but they didn't. In fact, I couldn't see any of them in my squad. I was now in an Undefined squad. It took me a minute or two (slow southerner that I am), but I finally figured out that I had been switched. You could have heard me cuss from a mile away. LOL

With all of that said, the only fault that I see with the game is the ability to turn Auto Balance on and off.

its freaken difficult to command via the command controls in the game, its much easier to have everyone one TS... only time the in game command for squad leaders should be used is to call for backup/drops/etc...

That is one thing I dislike, I was in a squad with Gumby, Groovy, someone else?... and I got team switched, I dont think you should be switched while in a squad, we were doin so good too, that is one thing I would like to see fixed.

We can turn autobalance on/off, but you know that the teams will be very unbalanced.

I agree that if you're in a squad, you should not be autobalanced. Hell, switch the stragglers first.

naw, I know it needs to be on, or you'll get alot of team stacking, I just agree with you , switch the stragglers first, unfortunately that isnt what happens

My favorite set up so far is the Special Ops.

I have been playing the demo for about 24+ hours now and it JUST came out. Friggin great. Amazing. CS is good, but 64 people, no lag, and being a squad leader? Just doesn't compare.

Being squad leader of Shadow One has to be my favorite part of the game. Seriously, if I get a group of people that actually want to listen then my squad rocks. Last night for three consecutive rounds my team was owning everything. Generally I play medic and, although my favorite class, the IDEA behind every other class is great as well. They all are valuable and I could see trying them all.

I love the atmosphere it gives as you see a squad member 50m out and he's dying. Despite the fact that there's an APC over the hill and three guys firing at me I run out, dodging bullets (which I can plainly see hitting the ground all around me), I bolt over and revive him and then we hunker down and pick the infantry off, praying that someone gets the APC.

Or there's the time I was trying to singlehandledly capture a flag, ducked behind a wall when I was getting fired at, peaked over the wall to locate my enemies, and hucked a grenade where they were, killing 4 guys and taking the flag.

Or my "out in 30 seconds or less" tactic as the US of being a spec ops with a jeep, planting bombs at the artillery and then exploding them and running off before people even know I was there.

Or (lastly, I don't want to ramble TOO much)... the time I was trying to capture a flag (same flag as previous example) and I completely ran out of bullets with one guy left. I actually ran straight at him and stabbed him to death and went on to capture the flag.

I prefer to use the ingame commands. That way you're not giving anything away to opposing team members who may be on TS.

You'll usually find me in one of the TS BF2 subchannels. They have less chatter so I can hear the ingame voice better.

I have been thinking about this all day Groovy, that was the most fun I have had in a LONG time. And I wanted to say to everyone that was in those squads(about 10 people total) that was great, good work, and I would GLADY do that again anytime.

"My name is Jeff, and I am a whore."

WIH: "Hi Jeff!"

As the biggest antogonist against sniper weapons I find it kinda awkward that I am whoring this weapon so much. I...cant...put....it....down. Honestly, I cant wait to see the next 11 maps so I can find the juicy camping spots. Thats sad. Since Im such a by-the-routine whore, alot of you have tried to beat my ass off my camping spot ( memories of cbble box........) You really have to climb that ladder to do it. 2 days ago, yah you could of done it some other way, but I am just too deadly now. Muhahahah!

P.S. that spot allows you to focus on the Western beach flag, the Center beach flag, to an extent the Eastern flag when they begin to assault Center, Train alley, the entire western side of Center. If your going to be a solo fag, you might as well show your supporting the team.

I am infantrys worse nightmare. :sniper:

This game just rules.. plain and simple.

As for me and my favourite moment so far:

I'm a whore with the C4 charges.. oh god such a whore. I never show myself to armoured vehicles, until I smile at them holding the detonator that is. :hump:

Best moment so far has gotta be when I followed an enemy tank in my buggy about 3 ft behind it, waiting for it to stop. It stopped for about 3 seconds to fire a shell at which time I jumped out of my car and strapped 2 charges to it's ass.
I jumped back in the buggy, reversed pronto then got out and let er rip.
BOOOOOM BABY

I can't decide which I like better. BF2 or WiH :) If it weren't for WiH I would be demoless... either that or without a decent server. This game is so freakin addictive. Last night I accidently stayed up till 5am (had work at 9am) playing because i was in an awsome squad. The squad idea is probably my favorite part of this game. It brings an immidate sense of teamwork and realism which weren't really present in the of BF games.

One of the most memorible parts while i was playing last night was when my squad was running to attack the hotel, we came across a lone MEC. He was way down in the gully on the road, and instantly shot one of my guys. As the medic jumped into action reviving him the rest of my squad opened up (it was like an imediate action drill). He was pretty far away so no one had hit him yet. Then out saw gunner opened up on him and I fired a m203 nade. I think I got the final kill, but it was great to see such teamwork from a group of random people in a sqaud w/ no practice.

Enough of this typing... I'm already having withdrawls

Wow, can you do that???? :)

I do like to talk alot and be heard. But i know the masses can only stand so much of my rambling. Someone important to me once said " make them laugh."

So...

1) I post stuff like the " BF2 spoof"
2) I cant stop talking about my exploits because Im insecure ( gene default.)
3) Im a child of the 80's which is punishment enough. ( inside joke to follow) "Im in Murders and Executions." "Wow, I have a friend in Mergers and Acquisitions, how do you like it?"

A little while ago I was playing as MEC in a squad with Aryanar as a squad leader. Time was ticking down with only a min or two left in the round and my side being down by about 10-20 points. A last ditch effort was made to take the remaining US base (the middle beach base). A mad infantry rush was lead by our squad with Bob supporting us with an APC. The Marines sensing defeat made a last ditch effort and in true Marine spirit rushed out to meet us head on. With MG's working on both sides the rifle men ran as fast as they could to reach the objective. Men were dropping left and right and as Bob in the APC rushed forward to take the fire from us infantry he was takin out by several anti tank rounds. I ended up being taken out and as I respawned I jumped into a APC and made a dash for the enemy base. By the time I got there the entire Marine force was takin out and the base was ours and so was the battle.
It's stuff like this that really makes this game so entirely bad freakin ass in my opinion. Nothing can really beat a mad infantry rush between the beach bases. It is just a site to see. Freakin A thanks WIH for giving us the opportunity to do this sort of thing. Now it's time to go to bed as I have to be able to teach little kids to swim in the morning.
