i pretty much hated resident evils 1-3, but found 4 absolutely hilarious. because re5 will have a similar system to 4, i'm looking forward to it. maybe i'll have a current gen console by then =P

I have liked them all. I'm a sucker for zombies in any form, though.

At least one of the gaming sites I visit said that Capcom has hinted this will be a 2009 release now, which really hinders the excitement for me. Honestly, though, I had more fun with Dead Rising, so I'd rather that they finish the sequel for that first.

They have two different teams for DR and RE, so don't worry about a sequel not coming our way. Anyways, I've also been a fan of RE since the beginning. I have almost every game in the series. The "Black Hawk Down" inspired level design, is a really cool setting for a zombie onslaught. Can't wait.

Probably. Eventually. It only took two years to port RE4 to PC.

Resident Evil is a badass series. I'm looking forward to RE5. Other games i'm looking forward to...Silent Hill 5...and I need to buy Fatal Frame 3, that game is already out. wee..love horror games.

If you guys haven't seen it yet, there's a nice, big trailer out. The E3 2007 Extended trailer pretty much shows it all.

I'm liking what I'm seeing. The enemies seem to be a mixture of Ganados and zombies, and the action's making me want to go play RE4 again =P

Personally, I don't really like the new gameplay style introduced with 4. Sure, 4 was fun, but I like the older ones better. RE2 was my favorite. Too bad they couldn't bring the old style back. =(

I really don't see all that much of a difference between 4 and the older ones in terms of gameplay. They took away the set cameras and added more ammo. That's the only real difference, its more of an action game now.

Many would argue the change in camera, and the switch to more "action" oriented gameplay, as a huge departure from the older titles. Most embrace it, some can't/won't.
