weirdest freeze ever.

weirdest thing happened to my BF2 SF game tonight.

I signed in to server and the mouse and keyboard were useless. i couldn't "~" to console. I couldn't do anything, except for CTR ALT DEL to close down BF2 in taskmngr. trust me ... no other mouse or key actions did anything
i take that back, i could "alt" tab out of that screen. similar to C-A-D, though.

multi servers and multi maps ~ all bupkiss.

the only thing i have done recently was an install of PC Wizard and a run through with my defrager (Perfect Disk).

i'm stumped and too tired to re-install. I may go ahead and put 2142 onto this rig.

I am going to try to redo the most recent patch for BF2 and reinstall my Razer drivers (but the mouse works perfect everywhere else) b/c i am a lazy mofo ~ any other ideas????

OK, I repatched and still a freeze type of thing.

THEN I updated that new map ~ still a freeze thing.

i can hear everything and i see kills and such scrolling under the "choose your kit" screen

i'm stymied~ any one ... buelller ....bueller..... bueller ...... bueller...... anyone........ bueller

somehow my config files were erased ~
everything .. had to "restore default" then tweak out from there ...

a little bong hit after a greulling day and poof ~ my brain cells are toast.
or a fried egg, for those in the know~ ;-)

so disregard this until post till it happens to you ... and you are un-qualified by self inflected tard-o-ness.
