Just watched this movie. Thought it was an excellent action movie. Lots of SWAT team action with silenced MP5 and other weapons.

Ok, the beginning with the crack bust is cool, but the rest is just trash.

A key ingredient in a trash movie would be Ja Rule as well... and he's in plain sight a lot of the time.

The whole movie is just way too cheese. Oh yeah, and they make SWAT look like friggn idiots... everyone's standing in front of windows and making shitty little forts to hide in, it's ludicrus. A real SWAT team would have overrun that place in 5 minutes, killing every inhabitant with a single silenced shot to the head. Instead, they got a friggn whore of a receptionist and a couple crack junkies outwitting trained tactical police officers in their own field. Facking garbage.

I'm sorry... probably ruined the movie for a lot of you.

if they really wanted them all dead why didnt they just though a bunch of nades in there to kill/soften them up then do like swat do and full on dinamic rush from all entances???? why bother talking to them at all :crazy:

Assault on P13 lost all cool for me in the very beginning when Mother Goose pointed out that they're using stages guns- the slides don't even move back when they fire.

If you're gonna do a movie about cops and tactical teams and stuff, hire a consultant. I'm sure they did, actually. So I should say, "Hire a consultant and give him the power to make sure his stuff actually makes it in the movie".

Watch through it again, and watch Ethan Hawke (and others) point their guns at people and objects as though they were pointing with their fingers. A STUPID cop would do that, but a trained and competent cop will not EVER point a gun at somebody like that.

I just couldn't stand it. I guess the story and stuff was just fine (although I like the orginal better- more barebones story, less emotional baggage crap). I just couldn't stand watching all the cheesy action when it was supposed to be realistic.
