Ok, so yesterday Steven asked me to install CS:S. So I took roughly 3 hours to do so. Now this morning, when I try to play it, whenever I try to get into a server it freezes. Sometimes I can ctrl alt delete out of it though sometimes I need to restart the computer. Since I uninstalled PR so I could have this on my computer I'd be happy if I got this to work.

Best advice I can give you from the information you've given us, re-install Steam and it's games, download latest drivers for your hardware.

well I've been trying again and again and it seems like sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Like i've been able to get onto servers with lots of bots but thats it.

Can you give us some system info? OS? CPU? GPU? Memory?

Perhaps mess with the graphics settings... make sure vertical sync is off. If your using windows, make sure hl2.exe is getting past the firewall

At what point does it freeze at? What does it say its doing?

If you click 'create server' can you start your own ok?

Had you been able to join any servers at all before this started happening?

well, sometimes it works. Some servers, like servers with a lot of bots, it works. But sometimes when there are a lot of people it works as well. G Mod works okay, but it seems that as soon as I close either one and try to start up the other it will not work. For example, I'm playing G Mod and decide to play some CS, as soon as I close G Mod nothing else will work, not even G Mod again until I restart my computer. It usually does that everytime though it changes (I might get into a game in CS before it freezes and such)
