Ok, I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but haven't had a good day to detail the car... wihadmin's post about his WRX track day prompted me to post now.

So I know there's at least one Scoobie and a z3 out there. Let's see what you've got.

I almost bought a 04 WRX, but the salesman really ticked me off. I was ready to buy, and he didn't even want to let me drive the car. I knew I was either getting a new WRX or a used s4. My car became available a week later and I jumped all over it.

Here's my 05 WRX. Only work done to it are Stoptech SS brake lines, Hawk HPS brake pads, CGLock seat belt lock.

The OEM tires Potenza RE92 sucked majorly on the track. Here you can see the white mark which I put there to tell if the tires are rolling onto the sidewalls and you can clearly tell that it was. The tire was at nominal PSI all day. The sidewalls are just not firm enough for a track day.

low 15's but it is a stock 95 cobra no mods on street tires driven by my buddy that i bought it from. he was not the most agressive driver and he only ran it 1 time. since i drive it every day to work 120 miles i am hesitent to try and really push it by running it at the track.

all that will be done to my car is maybe new springs, window tint (girlfriend has a weird eye condition and she doesnt have a car of her own, so my car = hers), and maybe a little different exhaust. bigger turbo? bigger intercooler? too much to deal with. it's fast enough and things like that not only void the warranty, but make a red car, with black wheels, even more attractive to the law.

Nice truck Filthy. I used to own a 1980 VW pickup that was almost that same color... It wasn't a very tough truck, but it was fun to mess around with, and useful for light loads from the hardware store... Wish I still had it.

Yeah it does. I got on the freeway last summer with it and opened it up to about 105mph before I had to slow down cus I came to traffic. It runs awsome and I would be driving that if it got somthing better then 7 mpg.

The MR2 flys and gets about 25 mpg if I drive like a maniac. Like a grandma I can get it up to about 30mpg.

NONSENSE, I have had a system in every car I have ever owned, and I hear just fine... my current ride has 2 10" Polk DB's powered by a Fosgate Amp, pushing about 250 RMS per channel, yeah they are thumpin :thumbsup:

I am going to school to be a recording engineer. I know the risks of sound pretty well and it wont do anything the way I am using it. I know that the first thing they teach you is youyr most valuable and fragile tool is your ear. Too loud of sound is bad but I dont do that. I just need some bass to my sound.

Notice, if you will, the sexy lines on this car. 2002 was the last year for this body style. The new Grand Prix body style stinks, IMO.

Yup, my first car was an 86 Camaro. Bought for $2500 and lasted me through high school and college. It had nearly 200k miles on it when I finally sold it. I learned a lot about cars by doing most of the work on it myself.

The Lotus Elise is cheap... although other Lotus cars are not that cheap at all. :)

They look nice (the Elise), but the Toyota engine and bare bones interior turned me off to them while car shopping. The test drive confirmed my suspicions, the 190 horsepower only seems zippy because the thing is an 1800lbs go-kart on roids.

I think I'll be getting an '05 BMW M3 next month when I get time to 'get my buy on.' :thumbsup:

I just got a fully loaded 2004 Suzuki XL-7 last week. And might I add that we basically stole it from the dealership cuz 2004's usually go for $25-28,000........and we got it for $16,000 cuz the internet guy messed up on the pricing. We told the seller guy about it and he felt so bad that he gave it to us for that price!! How sweet it that?! :D

I'm talking about the B7 RS4's. They aren't out in North America yet. High revving (8250 rpm) V8 with 420 hp and 317 lb-ft torque, improved quattro, and audi has worked on the front heavy design, making the engine lighter and the car more balanced. The new s4 only has 340 hp with 302 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 miles for the new rs4 comes in 4.8 seconds, so its faster than the M3 and more appealing (my all time favourite car was the M3). The car comes out in canada only in '07 which is why im saving now lol. Granted, I'd want a test drive first, but the car seems really enticing. Then again maybe you're right, im not sure.
