Just picked up this game this morning. I've never played basketball type games before. I guess this one is more arcady like NBA Jam. So if anyone's got this game and want to try playing online, drop me a PM.
A review from IGN.

Played this game for a few hours today. It's actually pretty easy to learn and fun to play. The action is fast and furious of 3 vs 3 basketball. A bunch of cool trick dribbling moves and dunks. It is pure arcade action. It reminded me of NFL Street.

I bought this and I regret the decision. It's is bugged and broken. The game versus Carmelo Anthony is supposed to be dunks along, yet they can still shoot and score points. It's also incredibly rediciously to shoot baskets against the computer. They basically destroyed the Street franchise...

I still having a lot of fun with the game. I don't see any bugs, other than the occasional scoring points from a layup vs a dunk. I'm a newbie at basketball games so the fact that it's easy to play against the computer is actually a big plus in my book.
Had I known you have and hated this game, I would've offered to buy it off from you.

I've played NFL Street before and liked it. This is the first basketball game that I've played. Personally, I think it's great bc I can pick up the game and play 2-3 matches in a span of like 30 minutes. That usually all the time I have to play anyways. :)

I also tried the demo and I have to say I suck at it to the point that I will not be buying it. I could shoot easy enough the AI just kept blocking and stuffing me. I have never been able to get into the basketball games.

The key to this game is dunking. Shooting will almost always get blocked or knocked away. You have to go in for dunks. The only time I shoot is when the game calls for shooting. Otherwise, it's all dunking.

O.K. I tried this again last night with the dunking strategy and I kept dunking and the damn ball kept popping out with out going in or the opponent would knock me down as I went up to dunk. I must be missing a way to do tricks and avoid the defenders.

Some characters have really low dunking attribute so they suck. That might be why.
I've played it.. fun as hell.
