FF #1 being moved

Over the next few days, we will be moving our Counter-Strike servers to new IP addresses. Everything else stays the same. We will still have a FF #1 server and a Tournament server. Once the Tournament is done, then that goes away. FF #2 will come back in a different configuration, possibly a FF-off configuration to attract some more beginner or intermediate players who are not ready for FF-on.

We will post the new IP addresses here when we have the servers ready to go live.

why dont u keep tourney server for like just scrims??

Since the servers are paid for primarily from the owner's pockets with some help from the donations here and there, it does not make sense for them to pay for an empty server that is used once or twice month. The money saved then can be used to rent other servers for DoD or to set up a Battlefield 2 demo server for you guys.

It will depend on the complexity of your map. If you can optimize your map to the same size as most other custom maps and doesn't invovle downloading a ton of extra files. Then it's possible to throw it up on a WiH server for a day or two.

With this new server, we can setup temporary scrim servers. Once setup, you can admin it via a web browser. Whether these scrim servers will be free or requires a small donation to the server fund is a topic that the owners are discussing.

In any case, we will be shutting down the current FF #1 on 6/1. We will begin auto-redirect players to the new server tonite.
