Every once in a while BF2 will just quit and I find myself looking at my icon covered desktop and a picture of my extremly overweight cat sitting ontop of my harley as a background. Her name is Athena for those of you who were curious cause I know at least one of you was. Is there any reason for this? Does it happen to other people. The downside is I like to play on one of the most popular and ritous servers (that would be yours) and by the time I get back it is full. Is there anything I can do about this issue?

We have all been there.. Do you have TeamSpeak? If not then you need to download and install it. You will need to log in to warishellgaming teamspeak at 74.52.44.2:8767 find a admin and they will make room..
Hope this helps!

Oh I am not looking to kick people out who have taken my spot, for I am sure they have been waiting there for a while to join. I am just not sure if the whole BF2 completely quiting out is normal. I know that every once in a while it makes me a private again and it takes a few rounds for my rank to show, but I am not sure if it exiting out is just my problem or universal.

rico4068 one "feature" of this comunity is that if your part of it the owners belive you deserve a spot on the server...

Belive it or not 56% of the players on any given day aren't part of this community. So the admins simply move them out f the way to make room for those who contribute.

Get TS and utalize the abilities you have been given...consider it a thank you from the owners for being part of this..

Welcome to the wonderful world of CTD (crash to desktop). No you are not alone in the very frustrating phenomenon the EA never seems to fix. This happens to me also every once in a while as yo_mamma suggested load up team speak and ask to get back on the server we all have been there and the admins and everyone in the community understands this happens.

Also there are people that are idling in the server, and they are the first to be kicked. So don't be afraid to ask.

I know this is a little off topic, but there also seems to be a bug on the server-side as well. Yesterday evening, several of us worked for hours to populate the server. We went from 6 people to around 50 over a pretty long period of time. Then, for whatever reason, everyone was disconnected during a map switch (which.. I believe was inbetween the chinese map with the two cooling towers and sharqui peninsula). After the disconnect, the server was silent. In fact, go to the server information page.. you'll see that something happens every day to blank the server. The graph goes up and down and up and down and up and down... it will get full, then everyone disconnects at the same time. This is in contrast to the IO server which stays full all the time. Can someone please look into this?

Who exactly are the admins? I cannot count how many times I was stuck in a squad with an idled squad leader. The squad limit is already maxed out so we can't leave to make a new squad so I never know who to ask to get the guy kicked.

There are several.

You can look in TS for the players with either a (R) or (R)(ADMIN) behind their name. (Most also have (CA) behind their name too)

Also, if you don't see anyone in TS. Type something in the chat. You never know when an admin is monitoring the chat.

I second the motion. I was also in this group that this happened to.

I'm gonna go with 56.5%

I feel your pain about the CTDs. Usually I just lose connection to the server, but on ocassion, I get the bless-ed crash and burns. I don't think I've intentionally disconnected from the server in days. But then again, I'm being watched..I can feel their presence...always screenshotting me...freezing frames to lower my KDR. Laying claymores exactly where they know I'll go. Yeah, I see it. It's a conspiracy to get me to come over to the darkside (aka Project Reality)

No, seriously though, CTDs aren't the norm, but don't fret it if you get a few every now and then. If they are a daily thing, you got something going on, could be hardware related, ie. vid drivers, sound drivers, memory, heat, etc.
