skip the 6600gt, it is only 128megs....that is going to last you maybe a year! Go right for the 6800gt256meg I got mine for $285

goddammit you people!!! you convinced me... after my research and junk i found that the 6800 GT 256MB is "suppositly" a new age in video cards...

for $$300... i better be freken awsome...

its gonna be cup o noodles for me for 3 weeks...

I always use pricewatch to find the best price. I just put into the search:

6800GT 256meg
and then
6800 GT 256meg
because they come up with different results. I saw the leadtek one for $290, but it takes up two slots!

Thanks Drayu, last time I did a search for it, they were out of stock. Then I procrastinated. I'm won't be silly enough to ask if this is the unanimous choice for best vid card out there. Too big a can of worms, but if you assure me it kicks butt, and it's in stock. I'll buy it tonight.

so far it kicks...ASS! Went from 30 fps in BFV to130+++ FPS!!!!! AWESOME!!!!
