....Saw me online for the short time i was able to be on, it was nice to play with you all again and chat with the short amount of time i had. As you may have noticed I have been MIA due to being reduced to a 56k....i am currently trying to remedy the problem, but I believe i will still get on if even for just 4 rounds to hang out and play every once in awhile.
uhhhh, yeah i guess this really wasnt that important, just keeping everyone informed on what has happened to the beloved player and admin Prowler.
see you all soon

If I had to go back to 56K I would probably have a stroke while waiting for things to download.
You're a braver man than I am.

I am so scared, because when I move to my new house I might not be able to get DSL! OMG! I will have to go back to 56k, NEVER, Satellite! Oh wait that sucks for games, NOOOO!

hahahha you guys would be suprised. you just have to play in a different mind set. for instance, last night on train, at the round start i ran my usual path toward the upper platform at B. now knowing that i was on a 56k, i already noted at least a second or two delay till my chat messages popped up. I assumed it would be the same for the game. Now the game seemed to run smoother than ever, but i knew thatpeople would see me before i saw them. Comeing to the end of the path before i rounded the corner, i began firing where t's would emerge from behind the wall and continued to run. When i got into the open i took two or three bursts and retreated whether i saw someone or not. I actually managed to keep an even score :D :D :D

On a related note- for those people who live outside of DSL coverage and Cable modem coverage, there is non-satellite hope. My parents have wireless radio high-speed internet. It's not as fast as cable, but it seems very comparable to DSL. You have to have line of sight to the tower (wherever that is) but it's pretty reliable.
It's also cheap once you buy the equipment- my parents pay $25 a month. If you live or WILL live someplace rural, it's great. Plus, since they had to buy the antenna, there isn't a contract, so it's great if you have to live someplace for just part of the year.

hmmm very interesting as I am moving to a rural area, could you give me a company website to check out?
With any luck I can get DSL, heck I will be on the same road as my friend, he has DSL, but then again he lived around 500 yards closer to town than I do.
