i have vista ultimate and a creative audigy 4,

i am using creatives beta drivers... has anyone else noticed the sound out on analogue is kinda tinney/box like? it sounds like there is some effect added somewhere or there is a feedback loop, it is noticeable on things like drums which sound as if they are in a metal box....

is there a setting for this or is it creatives inadequate drivers?

i only have a streo setup not surround, but all settings are set to stereo and no effects are enebaled in the creative panel or anything else....

i note the same sounds in games too....

First, I don't know too much, but this is what I know...

Vista's audio kernel was completely redone. I know atm only X-fi drivers play nice with Vista. So it is probably the drivers/audio kernel. Can someone add more info?
