The purpose of the audio mixer is to allow many input signals (from any source: voice, acoustic/electronic instruments, etc) to be mixed down to a stereo output. Typically you send this stereo output to some recording device (computer soundcard inputs, DAT/HD/CD/minidisc recorder, etc) or upstream to a larger mixer. It functions as the audio brain of your workspace/studio.

With the EPM8, you get 10 channels, 8 of which are mono inputs for microphones or line level inputs with phantom power available (normally used to power more sensitive condenser microphones). The two remaining channels are stereo line inputs for synths, drum machines, cd players, etc.

On the 8 mono channels you get 3-band EQ with a swept midrange. On the stereo channels you get a simple 2-band EQ (lows and highs). On each channel you get two auxiliary sends. This allows you to send audio from that channel alone to another device (like a reverb/delay fx unit).

Its practically brand new. These sell for about $330 anywhere.
I picked it up a few months ago but I'm upgrading so I dont need it any more.
It works perfectly and includes the manual, powercord, and original box.
I'm asking $270 + shipping (UPS or Fedex ground) to the WIH folks here first before I send it off to *Bay.
