360: In need of real racing games

I'm itching for a good auto racing game on the 360. Where's F1? I heard it's coming out on the PS3. The 360 is sorely missing a good rally game as well. Wonder why they didn't work on a Rally Challenge for the 360... As arcady as it was, I liked it. I liked the pro racing scene more than the hippity hoppity gangsta homie racing that is NFS. Give me F1, IndyCar, ToCA, WRC!!!!!

Forza 2, great simulation, overall better feel then the GT series(played GT4 and it felt overly clunky and un-responsive)

never heard of sega rally before(might have played it but don't remember) but if it's rally, and i'm not the only one that picks it up, i'll be all over it.

I'm dying for Forza 2.

If you go to www.forzamotorsport.net they have been slowly leaking info about the game. So far it is shaping up to be one of the most realistic games ever.

As an example, in a recent update on the site, one of the guys mentioned that when he tunes cars he tunes his to lose unsprung weight first before he tries to lose weight in the chassis/body....because the simulation engine notices the difference between sprung and unsprung weight. Holy crap. So picking your tires/wheels will make more of a difference than grip, I guess!

Now THAT'S my kind of racing game!!!!

Hey, they just updated the Forza 2 website I listed above.

Now added- website integration with the game ala Halo 2. Monitor your auctions, upload photos, track the tournaments you've entered, etc, all from their website. Pretty sweet. Especially considering they haven't (to my knowledge) announced in-game car auctions until today. The last game it was very hard to sell cars online. Now it's got a built in eBay. Cool. You can already sign in with your Gamertag.

I was disappointed by the initial delays for this game but I want them to roll a finished game out of the building, not a graphically updated Forza 1. The original game is my favorite racing game but it had its problems and I am glad to see these guys are kicking ass to make sure this game is a generation ahead, not just a little improvement.

Damn, I sound like a little fangirl. But I really miss a good driving sim!!

TDU had the facility to sell/buy/trade cars as well, but last time we all played, it doesn't work. I hope Forza is better in that aspect.

I was playing TDU recently and it looks like they fix the buying and selling issues with their last patch. I made champion level and the races are really hard at this level. I love just tooling around the map. I have like 18 cars and 3 houses. I completed all of the car delivery missions so the $100,000+ easy runs are gone but the champion level races are $100,000 & $75,000 each so if you can beat them you can still make the dough for the cars.

just started playing again too, just getting golds on time and race, but the thing is, i can't get my "rank" to go up ingame to unlock the rest of the races.

forza and toca is few of the good racing games out there.
and also i just have the need to share an information, f1 for now is only on ps3...did you know that you can use psp at the same time as rear view mirror while u playing at ps3?? i was on all over the news while ago, im not 100%sure if they make it work thought!
