Does anyone know of any programs that you can use to record sounds in game? I want to grab a few sounds from a few of my games to use for my computer startup/shutdown sounds.

hahaha use "no way, man!" for an error message. maybe "get out of there, it's gonna blow!" for shut down
If you want any css sounds they can all be found in 'counter-strike source shared.gcf'
Its in your SteamApps folder
You need to use something like GCFscape to extract them.
Infact that makes me think of a game we could play. "How well do you know you're css sounds?"

I think cool edit pro or sound forge will work.
