Was wondering that myself. Edit: Looking at models now, but I think Multi got it. Basically the models that are capable of inverted flight have collectives that can be adjusted to beyond 6-8 degrees +/-.

The collective controls the pitch of the blades during their rotation... which I think is what you mean by geometry right? /shrug

The rotor blades are NACA0012 (symmetrical) meaning they have the same performance upside down or right side up. that and the power to weight ratio, a lot of power, to very little weight.
