I downloaded the free internet browser that comes with the Wii.... While it is lacking in some areas

you can go to Google Video and watch the clips in the living room :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I just thought that was hella cool. I don't have a 360 or PS2 or 3, so this may be old news to you guys. I thought it was cool to blast some of the music videos through my surround sound :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Post any other cool tidbits you've found :D

Interesting Wii fact: If I see somebody on the street with one I will kill them to get it.

We still have had almost none arrive in Northern CO. I hope they don't view Wii in the US like they view DS Lite in Japan. I have read that it is still very, very difficult to get a DS Lite over there, and they don't increase shipments because they don't want to have tons of unsold Lites sitting around.

Anyway. Sorry to hijack, but I'm going crazy calling up to 10 stores a DAY to find a Wii.

but I'm going crazy calling up to 10 stores a DAY to find a Wii.

I just happened to be walking into the Wal-mart I JUST CALLED 30 MINUTES EARLIER!!!!! and they had a whole bunch in the case. The guy said they had put them out that morning :slap: They got about 20 in, and there were only 4 left....well 3 after I got mine. :D

If you think you are going to want more than one remote, BUY IT WHEN YOU SEE IT. It was harder to get extra remotes than the Wii.

And back on Topic, checking your local weather....and the global weather (via a "google-earth"-y looking interface):thumbsup::thumbsup:

got mine about two weeks ago. searched about a 50mi radius from my house. after about three days, i strolled into a circuit city with no hopes, and found one.

We should start a thread with all our wii numbers so we can start up a friend list.

Didn't even know it had a friends list :D

Can you play vs each other??That's the idea, but there are no online games in the U.S. atm. Well, there's elebits where you can send the custom maps you make and photos you take, but that's it.

Only other online game is Pokemon, but it's only out in Japan + it's Pokeman so who cares...

Expect online games to start coming in by Q3

The browser is very nice but I just wish it would run in 480p. 60" hdtv/ws makes for some blurry text in 480i and 4:3, though you can zoom in which helps.

Oh and off-topic-ish, but sense there are hardly any Wii topics here. There is this new game out called Wario-Ware which is one of the best multi-player games I've ever played.

It supports 1-12 players (you pass off the wii-mote in fast-paced game modes) and has 205 mini-games...

The games use the wii-mote in so many differnt ways and 95% of them work well, the games are corny (sense of humour required to enjoy it), but single-player is very short.

Today we got a new update!

The News Channel. Not bad assuming it's free, like everything else.

I like how you use the google-earth-like map and use it to find news in certain areas.

I finally got a Wii. I had to find a guy who knew a guy who killed a guy who once...

Well, it wasn't that complicated.
