Found this on the steam forums. Don't know how accurate it is, but I thought it was interesting. Scout runs faster than the knife!

yea, it moves a little faster then the knife, that's why scouting is more dangerous then awpin

The elite are trained not to run w/ scissors (or knives in this case) It's a lesson spanning generations, and begins in the toddler years of our race.
