Gears of War tonite?

Xbox 360 update yesterday. 2 Free maps to download today.

Anyone up for some multiplayer games tonite to check out those 2 new maps? I think these are multiplayer maps so co-op is not going to work. Probably have to host VS type games.

I was on last nite but no one from WiH was playing GoW. I played some pubber matches and they blew chunks bc I'm so used to R6 mechanics and cover system that I'm totally ineffective in GoW. I think my K:D ratio was 1:30+ so I just quit and started playing R6 single-player again.

I dont plan on playing MP GoW again any time soon.

Yeah GOW has kind of lost it's luster since R6 came on for me really.

What's funny is that GoW was all hyped up about their cover system. Then R6 came out with a better and 1-upped GoW in terms of cover system.

I saw that game but the only thing that scares me is that EA made it and I am sceptical that it will come out working without needing a patch right away.

I was playing GOW and the game crashed(I guess). It took me to the main menu. I went back selected to play game and nothing happen. I had to reset the 360. Has this happen to anyone?

yup. when that happened to me, I couldn't load a saved game. I couldn't start a new game. I had to delete the saved game and then GoW worked again. Weird.

So I shouldn't freak out and exchange my 360. It hasn't been 30 days. I figure my cd drive may be defected.

It comes to find out I had a defected drive. Thank god I kept everything from its original packing. I exchanged my 360 for another. For some out reason any game I would play more then 30 mins the CD would crash. I couldnt load my last save point.

I you do and see that I am on let give me a shout and I will play coop with you. You can save you progress for your single player even when playing multi coop.

I still have the game, but don't play it. If I need FPS fix, I play Rainbow 6: Vegas. Much better multiplayer games.

I enjoyed the campaign thoroughly. In fact, I just recently completed it at the "Insane" difficulty. As for online, I've played a couple times, and had some fun, but several bugs/glitches are exploited regularly by players which dulls the experience. That mixed with the fact that the online community for GoW is unfortunately shared with the 12-year-old racist, homophobes of the world. Much like Halo.

Have but haven't touched it since Rainbow 6 came out. It was the bomb until then. It's one of the games I am contemplating selling along with Chromehounds and Burnout Revenge as other games have taken their place.
