My website, atomicbobs.com has a bug that needs fixed.

I'll be glad to pay (and be very appreciative) anyone that can go in and fix it without messing anything up.

Do I sound like I know what that means? No clue.

The problem is this....when new members sign up they are suppose to receive an automatic confirmation email. For some reason on Jan 2, that email stopped being sent and nobody can sign up.

Did anything change with your hosting provider? The PHP mail command depends on having access to the sendmail program on the server.



For the Mail functions to be available, PHP must have access to the sendmail binary on your system during compile time. If you use another mail program, such as qmail or postfix, be sure to use the appropriate sendmail wrappers that come with them. PHP will first look for sendmail in your PATH, and then in the following: /usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/etc:/etc:/usr/ucblib:/usr/lib. It's highly recommended to have sendmail available from your PATH. Also, the user that compiled PHP must have permission to access the sendmail binary.

You got me. I speculated a bit trying to figure out what might have happened, and thought that maybe the mailbox that sends them is full. I don't know where that is so couldn't even look. Never heard of such a thing anyway.

Truthfully, I have no clue how any of it works.

If I were paranoid, I would say that the techs from Lycos/Raging Bull sabotaged me because I was stealing so many of their members.....some of my new people have suggested that might be the case as they are leaving in droves and there are ongoing battles between some of them and the Lycos group.
