yeah this has been gettin on my nerves for awhile now, i notice how sometimes when i get madd at CS and all its crap i will type in F***, S***, etc. What i dont understand is why thats such a big deal; its always "chill out Dynamite" or "watch ur mouth Dynamite" :x . First of all this IS an M-rated game, Second admins have placed asterisk in place of the words, and third aren't the asterisk put there so we can type em in and not offend anyone? Thats what i thought. anyway i just wanted to clarify the use of the seemingly useless "*"

One of the things I've always found annoying when playing on other servers is all the cursing going on. When we started WiH, our main goal was to create an atmosphere of fun game play where players wouldn't have to deal with tons of cheaters, tkers, and excessive cursing.

If you need to curse, do it outloud at home (make sure your mic is muted). If you can't because your parents won't let you, then you probably shouldn't be doing it here either.

The censor system was put into place "lessen" the cursing effect, but abusing this could be seen as spamming the console and is a kickable/bannable offense.

Yes, the game is rated M due to graphic violence, which is simply the nature of the game. However, I don't believe curse words are used in HL2.

Is a problem. No one wants to have this stuff scroll on the screen. People don't enjoy reading swear words and sure as hell don't enjoy having important messages scroll off the screen b/c of someone else's cursing.

the way i enforce the rule is simple if i say watch your language that means watch your language i don't want to see anymore stars from that player. if i see a player intentionally type spaces or misspell in an attempt bypass the filter a non regular is kicked. a regular will get a warning and then a kick. like groovy said keep your comments in relation to type and in game chat clean and you wont have a problem clear? if you can't say it aloud why type it.
