Any get Lost Planet for xbox360?

i played the MP demo and i'm getting it on fri.

I played the single player demo and I pretty much hated it...

...BECAUSE of the dumb "freezing to death" mechanic. I like to play shoot-em-ups how I want to play them...sometimes I like to snipe an area and clear out the most dangerous guys. Sometimes I like to rush in, kill the big monster, and then run back out to kill the little guys who will follow. Etc.

But since you need to pretty much be killing all the time, the game dictates its own pace- "If you don't kill at least this many people UP CLOSE SO YOU CAN STEAL THEIR SOUL...I MEAN, BATTERY FOR YOUR SUIT you'll freeze to death."

It still looks like an awesome game but I have a terrible temper and this would only result in some horrific moments of screaming when I rape an entire base of pirates only to be told that I'm out of energy.

played the demo. I'm not planning on getting it bc R6 is the FPS shooter that I'm hooked on right now.

it's nice looking and all, but i'm kinda sour on most Capcom titles for:
poor controls
annoying play dynamics

Anyone else pick this up? Pretty good game but ill be back on R6 at night and messing around with this when no one else is online to play.

The single player is fun but not much depth to the game you just run around and shoot things with out too much thinking involved ( shoot the big bugs in the glowy spots) The snow effects are pretty nice and the whole issue with having to keep up your energy to keep from freezing isn’t an issue since you get that energy from just about everything you destroy. The bosses are freaking huge at times and I mean HUGE.

I played a few rounds of MP last night. It was a bit confusing, but this is the way it went. There were four teams of four. You had to run around and capture points on the map (sound familiar?) and who ever gets the most points wins. The only new thing here is you have to actively capture the point by taking a few seconds and beat the B button until you activate the control point. On of the things I don’t understand yet is some of the people would take 3 or 4 shots to take out but seemed to be able to take me out in just one?!?! Of course you still get to get mechs in the MP maps and they can make a difference but since they are pretty slow you can get up to them using you’re anchor ( al la bionic commando - NES) and shoot the polite out of the seat. You can also use this anchor to move around to just about anywhere you want. It does have a range so that’s all that seems to limit you there.

All in all the game is pretty fun. It will not replace R6 or GOW on my play list but its fun and new. Gamespot gave it an 8.1.

I as welled bought it. I like it. Mech assault + 3rd person shooter + HUGE BOSSES=lost planet.

Probably the last game i'll buy until mass effect.

I played the demo and wasn't thrilled with it. I don't like the killing bugs theme, I would rather kill humanoids.:D Mostly it was that the game didn't have very good scenery from what I saw and button mashing is getting old for me after Just Cause.

The thing that turned me off from Lost Planet is the whole snow and ice theme. I've never been a fan of that, even in 2142 or POE2.

Mass Effect makes me ticklish in my special area.
