View Full Version : Seagate Tech Announces Consumer 1 TB Hard Drive

Seagate Technology has just released information to DailyTech with regard to the company's upcoming highest capacity hard disk drive to date. At 1TB, if no other hard disk drive manufacturer can catch up, Seagate will have the highest capacity hard drive product to market first.

Ok so who else here is going to attempt to RAID 0,1 or even 5 three or four of these bad boys in their monster gaming machines? 4 TB of disk storage. Then put a nice 150 GB 10000+ RPM drive as your primary. The others are storage for lots and lots of PORN! or other things that may strike your fancy like music and the such.

Jesus... 1 TB Consumer HD. And to think I remember the days of the TRS80. Yes I'm old. :flipoff:

Nevar! If I had the money, I'd do a comparison and post the results here just to prove my point and put an end to this 10k RPM nonsense! :thumbsdown:

but it sounds sooooo cooooool 10k rpm yeah!

i am happy with my raid 0 normal drives not that i notice a whole helluva lot of difference anyway!
