Actually they were never indians they are in India.... What we've got here are simply natives..... not simple natives .... dont want to offend anyone like those damn caveman commercials

Didn't need the history lesson... but thanks anyway.

Everyone thought they were indians... so they were called indians. They certainly weren't calling themselves native americans when we arrived were they?

I think they referred to themselves as whatever tribe they belonged to. Mohawk, Cayuga, Seneca etc.

edit: I remember in the 3rd grade this red-headed white boy was angry about something and lashed out at me -- he told me to go back to my own country. I was too dumbfounded to even reply.
