Is it possible to hook up:
2 keyboards
2 mice
2 monitors
and have 2 instinces of BF2 playing on one computer.
(and of course play them both with seperate controlls)
I want to play online with my firend but his computer sucks.

I don't think it's possible for an OS to recognize 2 kb, 2 mice separately. Furthermore, BF2 won't run when it detects that an instance is already running in memory.

ouch.
slight modding?
It just sounds like it would be pretty fun

I know there are people who use dual monitors though, don't they need 2 keyboards and 2 mice to do that?

No it just uses the 2 monitors to act like 1 big monitor.

oh... :wallbash:
I'm guessing people can do most things though?
Let me do more research on this, thanks for those answers.
I am almost certain that you cannot do this. You would be better off going to a gaming center.

I don't think that DirectX will allow you to do this... there might be ways around everything else but DX isn't going to play nice.

Hmm, any solution I could think of would require at least one more computer or some custom programming...

two keyboards, mice, and monitors... yes. two instances of BF2 in XP (or Vista for that matter) no. BF2 doesn't play nicely with DirectX in window mode and even if it did there's no way to hook a specific input device to a specific window. Even if you were to use VMware (or another virtual manager) you'd be stuck since they don't fully support DirectX or OpenGL.
what you need is two systems.

-alfokay well I could get 2 systems but one of them would suck.
Could the good system some how power the bad system?
Er I'm so techinicaly lost and confused.
Time to look in the phonebook for a game-cafe:dunno:

One of the computers may suck if you get it... but it isn't going to suck as bad as trying to run BF2 twice on the same computer even if you manage to get it to work.

Agreed. Most computers have a hard enough time running it once. Twice is crazy, even for the most advanced computers, it still would look like shit.
